Dr. Charmaine Johnson

Dr. Johnson is a highly trained and skilled general and cosmetic dentist. She understands the importance of a healthy and beautiful smile on a personal level; she was inspired by her positive experience with orthodontics to become a dentist. She loves being able to change people’s lives through dentistry and she enjoys seeing her patients’ faces after placing beautiful crowns or completely transforming their smiles.
Educational Background
Dr. Johnson began in South Africa, earning her DDS with honors from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1995.She later moved to the U.S., completing a General Practice Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, serving as chief resident (2000–2001).
She has taught as Assistant Director at UIC’s residency program and adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University. Since 2003, she has served with the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Dr. Johnson has an eye for aesthetics and especially enjoys cosmetic dentistry. Her research in various areas of dentistry has been published in Dentistry Today and The Journal of the American Dental Association.
